That is my worry too!  That I will be last!  I keep thinking that they will open up the roads and I will still be running!  Tongue Tied

Good luck with your marathon place!

2.20..?? Also a 40 plusser with reduced alcohol consumption Angel - fab they have the 'angel' icon ! Also a bit overweight.. maybe there's more of us than we realise!

On a low with training as had a bad last training weekend, convinced I can't do this - went out lunchtime in pouring of rain/wind by the Thames.. just about 3 miles, but perked me back up into the positive. I'm not in it for speed, but for consistency and personal achievement at running (jogging!) a distance I've never before thought I could do.

Bagsy last place.. that will solve all your problems Wink

Yes, am carrying a bit of extra weight too!  And I think I walk faster than I run, so speed not for me either.  2.20 sounds like a good time to me!  Thanks for all the support everyone!  I'll see you all at the end!  I'll be the one on the news still running monday morning! Wink

I am very nervous. I have trained for over 12 weeks and think i am ready, these last couple of weeks have been tough, i think i might be coming down with a cold so thats not helping and i am feeling more tired. i have been taking my mind off it by trying to fundraise which seems increasingly more difficult.

anyway we are nearly there now and i think we will all be fine.

    good luck to everyone Smile

I had a cold last week too which really knocked me as when i've trained since then it's been so hard.  It felt like all the work I'd done had gone and I was starting from scratch.  I hope you can fight the cold off.  I think whatever happens we will get round and will have done an amazing thing and raised money so what's to worry about? Tongue Tied

    Good luck!!

Hear hear, we can all crawl across together lol!

I'm 39 can I join the over 40 oldies please? Stick out tongue especially given i also come with excess baggage and a Kronenberg habit !!

Have decided to do no further running this week and rely on the crowd's abuse to bully me home Cool

Well Im 29 but of the "very much more than just a few pounds overweight" variety so I am scared witless! Especially as to top it all I hurt my knee training a couple of days ago and am still trying to get it working again! lol I think Im going to need the sponsorship myself for an ambulance and stretcher! Good job my partner for the day is a nurse! I`ll be easy to spot, I'm the red faced, wheezing lump coming across the line in the dark Tongue Tied
